Flimsy shoes, such as a moccasin Fungus Eliminator Review or a flip-flop are definitely not a good shoe choice for someone with fallen arches because of the lack of support. This type of shoe can actually worsen the condition, especially if they're worn on a regular basis. If the condition worsens it can turn into a chronic arthritic, joint deforming and inflammatory problem in more than one area. These biomechanical movements caused by pronation can overtime become crippling to a person, and result in pain when walking and standing and performing other activities.

Many people that suffer from flat feet and the painful conditions that come with it, are often fit with a custom-made orthotic that they are able to wear with most shoes. Some people have gotten relief with a store-bought orthotic or insole, but depending on the severity of the problem, it may require one that is custom-made by a podiatrist.

Many good athletic shoes are now designed with arch support and also leave your feet enough room to be in a natural position. The more support your arch has and the more natural position your foot is in, the better it will perform, especially if you have flat feet. It will help to keep pressure off the inside of the foot, which can help to keep bursitis from developing.
